This piece captures the essence of a birds eye view combined with a man made “topography” style map (meant to represent general changes in altitude when placed on a 2d surface).
 
Carved from solid maple and shaped free-form with a router at multiple depths, then poured with a special blended blue-green ecopoxy “liquid plastic” plant based epoxy throughout.
 
Welded “u-shape” legs from the infinitely talented Bronte c/o Freeman Fabrication here in Victoria, Bc. Painted in matte white and secured using threaded inserts.
